The Turf fan site Manskatten.com got a big upgrade, announced in a post on the site on 27 October. The news was also shared in the Facebook group Turf - Outdoor Addiction that evening.

The post names two main areas of work: your Turf history, with medals and ranks, and forecasts for the round that is running now.

Your Turf life on one line

The page Medals and goals now shows a player's Turf history in time order. According to the post, the timeline can include:

  • your first Turf zone
  • medals
  • rank-ups
  • event medals
  • Bonanza medals

The medals now have their real names and pictures. Older medals without a known date appear separately, so players can add the dates later. Medals you can win more than once are also handled separately: the dated ones go on the timeline and the rest are listed as undated.

The site calls the timeline a fun personal history, not an official record. Players are meant to fill in old dates themselves. The post suggests a few places to look, such as old Turf Bot messages in Google Chat, Turf's official site for events and Bonanzas, and Turfa.nu for old sessions. The post also says a short guide to finding old dates is on the way.

Four ways to read the future

The forecast tool estimates how many points a player will have when the round ends. It now gives four answers, based on:

  • current PPH
  • the last 24 hours
  • the last seven days
  • the whole round so far

The idea is to put a very short-term forecast next to longer-term ones.

A new forecast history saves all four forecasts each time a reading is made, together with the player's real points at that moment. Players can make a new reading at most once every ten minutes.

The real test comes when the round ends. Then the forecasts can be compared with the final result to see which method came closest. The post also promises more improvements to come.
