Finally! Pump bridge reopens – Östergötland zone back on two wheels

Good news for cycling turfers in Östergötland. On 22 October a local player reported that the new pump bridge has reopened after being closed for at least one year.

That means the zone can once again be taken by bike. For a whole year or more, the bridge stood in the way. Now the route is open, and the zone is back within reach of turfers on two wheels.

It is a small victory, but in Turf small victories count. One lost route can change a whole takeover tour. Getting one back is worth a cheer.

Ride with care

There is one catch. The bridge has planks that run lengthwise, and they become very slippery when they are wet. Riders are told to be careful when they cross.

So plan your route, enjoy the reopened crossing and take the zone, but slow down on the planks when they are wet. Keep this in mind on rainy days.
