Piteå summit: Norrbotten turfers pack O'Learys – and want more
Turfers from Piteå, Luleå, Arvidsjaur, Kalix and Töre met for a Friday meetup at O'Learys in Piteå. The verdict from those who came: do it again.
Norrbotten held its own summit. On a Friday, turfers from five corners of the county met at O'Learys in Piteå for a Turf meetup, according to a post in the Facebook group TURF Norrbotten on 25 October.
The delegations were a mix of home players and travellers. Piteå fielded the biggest team, but Luleå sent a strong group, and Arvidsjaur, Kalix and Töre were all represented at the table.

In a region where zones can lie far apart, it is not every day that players from the coast and the inland share one table. This time, the borders between home turfs were put aside for an evening of food and talk.
A call for a second round
According to the post, the evening was full of conversation and laughter. In the replies, players who were there said they had enjoyed it a lot and that the group must meet more often.
No date for a new meetup has been set. For now, the next summit is a wish from the players – and TURF Norrbotten is the place to watch for it.
